The all-important May 2021 local elections are over, and Welwyn Hatfield Conservatives are the big winners.
We started the elections with three of the eight county divisions, and we now have seven. We started with 23 borough councillors, we now have 28, and with it a huge majority of 8 on the borough council.
We took two county seats from Labour and two from the Lib Dems, as well as four borough council seats from Labour and one from the Lib Dems.
To top it off, we also won the Hatfield Town Council by-election and became the largest party on there, too.
These results give us a clear mandate to deliver what we said we would - lower council tax than the other parties, strong but sound financial management, and dedicated local representatives who will always go the extra mile for the people they represent.
