The infamous story of Anne Frank is coming to Welwyn Garden City on the 17th October in the form of the knock out play; ‘And Then They Came For Me’ which has proven to be popular for our local area. With one week left to go before the curtain goes up recalling this tragic story, all 250 tickets have sold out for this unique opportunity to go and experience one of the most moving true stories ever told. With over £700 being raised for the Holocaust Educational Trust enabling children, not much older the Anne herself, being able to learn what happen during this tragic event in History. 150 school children, who will potentially benefit from these funds, are coming to see the show in a matinee performance especially reserved for them to learn about what happened to Anne Frank, and her step-sister Eva during this iconic time. It’s set to be an amazing show with a Q&A from both Eva and local MP Grant Shapps after the show. Well done to all those that managed to secure tickets in time and we are looking forward to meeting the inspirational Eva Schloss.
