Last year in 2013, a truly remarkable day happened for all involved. A day where families were brought together and many laughs shared. A festival, organised by Hercules Events in partnership with Conservatives at Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, attracted a wealth of competitors from young children to Team GB members. They battled it out in a wide variety of events, including three triathlons, three open water swim races (5km, 3km and 7.5m), a 100km cycle, a 10km run and a 1.5km children’s fun run. Not only did this event attract many families so they could meet and greet, but many children met new faces from other schools in the children’s fun run. As well as all this, it showed what an active bunch you lot really are. There was praise from every angle with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, PC Rupert Gadd of Herts Police, the Finesse Leisure team, Jenny Colledge and the RAF Cadets, and Peter Lansdown and the Royal Marines Cadets all took to the stage to congratulate the competitors.
This year, it is only going to get bigger and better. Recently, Welwyn Hatfield has been buzzing with sporty fever and for this reason on Sunday the 25thof May, Hercules Events will be hosting one of the biggest sporting events to date with an oasis of different activities.
So why hesitate when entries are now open for you all. You now may be thinking “what benefits me?” Well we’re glad you asked.
