A Hatfield road which has long been in dire need of proper repair work is finally due to be resurfaced properly.
Thanks largely to County Councillor Peter Hebden's repeated and tenacious efforts to have the work carried out, Travellers Lane in southern Hatfield is now due to be repaired in full.
Peter said: "Since I first became a county councillor in May 2021, I've consistently been nagging the county council to get Travellers Lane done properly. Not just a light skimming on top, not just a bit of superficial work to make it appear fixed; a full and thorough repair that will hopefully ensure it remains in a good state for many years to come.
"It's desperately needed this work for many years, and I'm glad to see it finally pushed over the line."
This is another example of Conservative councillors getting things done, instead of just shouting from the sidelines.
